Bill “Roto” Reuter, CEO of R-Squared Solutions in Orlando, Florida, and former executive officer for Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division, was recognized as an Orlando Business Journal’s 2015 Veterans of Influence award winner at a luncheon on Sept. 30. Reuter served in the U.S. Navy for 28 years as an aviator, eventually becoming chief test pilot of Air Test and Evaluations Squadron 23.

“From a very early age, I wanted to be an astronaut and test pilot, and when I came up shy of fulfilling my dream of becoming an astronaut, my career path led me to serve our great country, and much of that as a test pilot,” Reuter said. “I am humbled by this recognition as a Veterans of Influence award winner, and I can only say that it is a great honor to be in such prestigious company.”

Group VOIToday, Reuter helps organizations and individuals develop their leadership and growth through workshops, one-on-one coaching, and speaking engagements. He also works in partnership with businesses in developing strategies to best leverage the marketplace, in particular those working with the Department of Defense.

Although Reuter hails from Key West, Florida, and has lived all over the nation, he calls Orlando home, and is currently working with several volunteer organizations including The Samaritan Resource Center, focused on breaking the cycle of homelessness and poverty in East Orange County. He also was elected last month to the board of directors for the National Center for Simulation Board, the organization that is dedicated to promoting and growing the modeling, simulation and training industry in Central Florida, known as the nation’s epicenter.
